Self Assessments
Ball State University "Quest" Self Assessment
Quest is an assessment that helps students discover what type of careers best suit their interests and life preferences, and ultimately helps them choose majors in college and what classes to take. This may have been a useful tool for me during my freshman year at Ball State if I had known about it. However, given my results I’m not so sure I would have agreed with what the test would have said about me. My top three categories were as follows:
According to this assessment I am best fit to become an athletic trainer or a medical assistant. I did not major in anything even remotely close to those professions, and that makes me feel as if this test isn’t the best representation of myself as some of the others have been. I am certainly surprised that helping, teaching, and working with other people landed the number one spot on my results because I would not have assigned those that high of points if I was analyzing my own personality. I do however feel comfortable being closely associated with the second and third categories from my results.
- Helping, teaching, working with people
- Athletics, nature, physical work
- Leading, organizing, developing projects
